Madeena outclass Azad Sports club in Madeena cup final

Bhatkal December 10 2016: Madeena cup 2016 came to an fairytale as it saw the organizers win the trophy by beating Azad sport club in final here in kola ground Bhatkal on Saturday.
It was not an ideal start for Azad sports centre who were undefeated in the tournament so far, as they managed to post a mere 129 for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat first. In reply Madeena crossed the finishing line in the 17th over of their innings by losing 5 wickets. Zia Quazi scored a blistering 49 runs and was declared Man of the Final for his contribution.
Winning team was awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of 75 thousands INR, while runners up received a cash prize of 45 thousands INR with trophy.
Other awards declared at the closing ceremony included ‘Player with most 4s’ which was awarded to Abu Muhammad of Royal Sports Club, while the best player of the tournament was bagged by Naumaan Tahira. Dawood of Azad sports club was awarded ‘Best bowler of the tournament’.
Prof. Hashim Zarzari, president Madeena welfare society, Gen secy. Moulana Irfan SM Nadvi,Imtiaz udyawar, President Bhatkal Muslims youth federation were among others present at the closing ceremony.
