Lost your Emirates ID card, you can now get a replacement card in just 24 hours. Emirates Identity Authority (Eida) offers a premium service, charging Dh150 for issuing a replacement card. “The premium paid service is available at Dh150 per card,” a spokesperson told Emirates 24|7. To avail of the service, a person will have to visit the nearest Emirates ID service center and provide the copies of passport with residency stamp and pay the fee on the designated counter. “The replacement card will be provided to the customer within 24 hours,” he said. But not many are aware of the new service. Sonali Kumar, a PR executive, is one among them. “I never have applied for a replacement card and so I am not aware of any such service,” she said, adding offering a fast track option was really good as there are people in need of these services.
