Locals stop mini-truck illegally transporting cattle in Bhatkal; driver escapes

Bhatkal 1 November 2019: Local police on Thursday seized a Bolero van on Sagar road which was allegedly being used for illegal transport of cattle. The driver of the van after being stopped by the locals managed to escape from the spot. According to the reports, locals, on suspicion stopped the Bolero van for allegedly illegally transporting cattle. After the driver managed to escape from the spot, the locals informed police about the matter who rushed to the spot and seized vehicle and cattle. Among the nine cattle that were being transported three cattle were reportedly dead. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Town Police Station.
