Local youth rescues woman who jumped into well in attempted suicide

Bhatkal 21 February 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau)A 39-year-old woman on Wednesday attempted commit suicide by jumping in to a well near a construction site area of APJ Abdul Kalam road of Bhatkal Taluka. Aparna Nagaraj Shet(39), a resident of Sonarkeri on Wednesday jumped into a well near a house construction site of Bhatkal. The construction labourers who noticed this called for help in the public. Hearing the calls for help, a local youth, Ibrahim Bawal of Madoom colony jumped into the well and rescued the woman. Aparna was soon rushed to government hospital of Bhatkal and her condition is said to be out of danger. The personnel of Bhatkal town police also rushed to the spot and currently are investigating the reason behind her attempt to suicide. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
