Liquor worth Rs. 39,000 seized at Bhatkal railway station

Bhatkal 25 June 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Saturday seized alcohol worth Rs. 39,024/- which was being illegally transported in Matsyagandha Express here at Bhatkal. When the regular inspection that was conducted on the train which was on its way to Mangaluru from Kurla, RPF Bhatkal PSI Sishwal Singh and Kumta RPF personnel CT Heramba found 4 suspicious bags in the general compartment. However, a total of 312 bottles of Goan Liquor worth Rupees.39,024/- was recovered from the four bags. The bottles of liquor was later handed over to Excise Department.
