Liquor seizure in Uttara Kannada continues ahead of elections, 80 liters of Goan liquor seized in Karwar

Karwar 25 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The District Crime Branch (DCB) personnel on Tuesday detained two persons and seized Goan alochol worth Rs.20000 which was being illegally transported on a KSRTC bus near Divekar commerce college of Karwar.

Shashikala Ramchandra Tandel of Chittacol and Asha Vishwanath Patte of Harawad have been taken into custody by the DCB personnel.

Acting on a credible information of Goan alcohol being illegally transported on KSRTC bus which was on its way to Karwar from Majali, the DCB personnel raided the bus near Divekar college and seized 106 bottles (80 liters) worth Rs.20,000.

The team led by DCB officer Ramchandra K Nayak, included officer V. Naik, Manjunath Hegde, Hanumantha Kabadi, Umesh Naik in the operation.
