Leopard baby rescued from well in Honnavar

Honnavar: The forest department of Honnavar taluka rescued a five-year-old male leopard from a well of a house at Navilgon village in Honnavar taluk on Tuesday.
According to sources, the leopard baby had fallen into the well of house owned by Ramachandra Ganapathi Naik of Navilgon Tuesday morning. Spotting the leopard in the well, the house-owner immediately informed the forest department of it.
The forest department and fire & emergency services rushed to the spot and safely lifted the leopard. It is suspected that the leopard baby must have fallen into the well in a bid to catch a prey in the village.
