Legal Awareness and Lok Adalat programs held

Bhatkal - In a bid to develop legal awareness among general public, a 3-day legal awareness campaign, 'Law Protection Rath' was held jointly by Karnataka Legal Services Authority, Uttara Kannada Legal Services Authority and Bhatkal Civil Court.

As a part of this awareness campaign, a Rath yatra comprising of mobile van and lok adalat was carried out in all Gram Panchayat areas of Bhatkal including Muttalli, Konar, Asire Industries, Olga Mantap, Bengre and Bhatkal court from 9th Jan to 11 Jan.

Mr Uday Naik, CEO Taluka Panchayath inaugurated this campaign at taluka panchayath Hall on 9th January 2010. Mr M L Naik, Ex-president Bhatkal Bar Association presided over the function.

On this occasion Bhatkal CPI Guru Mathur, Savita Gonda, Nagraj Hegde and others were present on the stage.
