Kundapur: Police seize seven cattle being illegally transported in a pick up van, driver escape

Zaorez Shabab Bhatkal 23 Nov 2017: Kundapur Rural Police on Tuesday in a joint operation with forest department seized seven cattle that were being illegally transported to Kerala from Basrur in a pick up van. Acting on a tip-off from reliable sources, the Kundapur Rural Police took forest officials into confidence and tracked down a pick-up completely covered with tarpaulin plastic and was heading towards Udupi. The cops then stopped the vehicle and seized seven cattle. The driver of the van managed to escape the scene as soon as the police stopped the vehicle. A case has been registered at Kundapur Rural Police station.
