Kundapur Police arrest thief just two hours after crime

Zaorez Shabab Kundapur 26 Nov 2017: A theft of jewellery was reported at the house of Ravi, a resident of PWD quarters on Nov 25 Saturday, when his wife found out that their house was broke open when she was out on a visit to the hospital. The thief had escaped the scene by getting into the house, getting his hands on the jewellery and went out from the back door in broad day light. Prema, the wife of Ravi when returned home from hospital found the doors opened and upon checking the house, she realized that her house was robbed off jewellery. A complaint was filed immediately at the Kundapur Police Station and a team of Police inspector Manjappa, crime PSI Devaraj, PSI Harish and other police officials tracked down the culprit and recovered the jewellery from him. The arrested person has been identified as Harish Acharya (46), and the police team is questioning him about his links to other cases.
