Kundapur: One killed another injured in a hit and run case

Bhatkallys News Bureau Kundapur 25 Feb 2018: One person was killed and another sustained injuries in a hit and run case at late night on Friday, Feb 23rd at Maravanthe NH-66 in the taluka. The deceased has been identified as Prabhakar, resident of Navunda. The injured person is known to be Suresh. Both were the employees of a restaurant in Kundapur. According to the sources, both of them were lying beside the road with severe injuries. The people who were on a morning walk noticed them and took them to the hospital. Unfortunately Prabhakar was declared brought dead, while Suresh is being treated in a private hospital. It is said that, both of them were returning home after their job. They stepped down from bus around 2 am at Maravanthe and as they were heading, an unknown vehicle hit them and fled from the scene. A case has been registered and the local police is investigating the case.
