Kundapur-Goa NH66 highway project: Tender awarded to RIB Infrastructure

Bhatkal - 09 June 2012: Tender process of Kundapur-Goa NH66, a 4-lane highway project stretching 187 km from Kundapur in Udupi district and Goa border is completed and the project is awarded to RIB Infrastructure. According to the sources, 35 companies have been shortlisted for this project but no one submitted their bids except RIB Insfrastructure. Therefore the tender was awarded to them.
According to the survey, this 187 km highway will consists of 14 big bridges, 41 small bridges, 6 road over-bridge, 3 road under bridge, 4 tunnels, 4 fly-overs, 53 Bus stand (Direction platform), 4 Lorry stand (Direction platform). The project cost is around 2400 crore and it will be completed in 908 days.
Govt has acquired 266 hectares of private land from 66 villages and 122 hectares of forest land for this project.
