Kumta woman delivers baby on ambulance while on her way to hospital

Kumta 16 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A woman hailing from a village of Kumta Taluka delivered a child inside the ambulance while she was being taken to the hospital here on Monday, January 14, night. Manjula, a resident of Kalavodi village distanced about 28 km from Kumta delivered a baby boy inside the ambulance. According to the reports, on Monday night, when her husband called the '108' ambulance, it reached her house after about 30 minutes of the call, as she was being rushed to the hospital with labor pain, Manjula gave birth to the baby child inside the ambulance before reaching hospital. Bharati, was present as Emergency Meducal Technician (EMT) on the ambulance who administered the delivery on the running vehicle. The child and the mother both were reported to be safe and were later shifted to Kumta Government Hospital. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
