Kumta: Two drowning tourists rescued at Gokarna beach

Zaorez Shabab Kumta 11 Nov 2017: Two tourists who were on a picnic trip to the local Gokarna beach were reportedly drowning when they were rescued by a team of lifeguards on Saturday. According to the sources, a group of seven seven friends of different places were out for a picnic trip, they eventually left for Gokarna from Bengaluru. Upon reaching Gokarna two of the seven members were caught in the midst of high tides when they were swimming. Reacting quickly to the SOS call, a team of life guards jumped into action to rescue the drowning tourists with the help of their motor boats, and were successful in their assignment. The victims are identified as Ramesh Yadav from Uttar Pradesh and Kamlesh Kumar from Madya Pradesh, while the life guards have been identified as Mohan Ambi, Raju Ambi, chabdrakant and purshottam Harikantra. A case has been registered at the Gokarna Police Station.
