Kumta: Tragedy averted after a LPG cylinder blast

Kumta 20 Aug 2017: A major tragedy was averted after an LPG cylinder burst on Friday afternoon when the residents were out for the Friday prayers on August 18.
The owner of the house Tanveer Shaikh was out of the house when the care taker of the house noticed the flames and smoke coming out of the house and immediately called the fire department. The officials rushed to the spot and took control over the situation.
It was an herculean task for the fire department officials as their regular vehicle could not reach up to the house due to the congested roads leading to the house, the officials had to flush out the fire with the help of their official bikes and not their regular bus.
No loss of life or major financial loss was reported, and a major tragedy was averted which could have an complete otherwise statistics.
