Kumta: Three people including a infant killed in a road accident

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Kumta 24 July 2017: Three members of a family were killed in a road accident including a Three year old infant on Kumta NH 66 on Monday morning. As per the sources, the incident occurred when a family belonging from Mangaluru, was on their way to Gokarna when a tyre of the car burst and the driver lost control over the wheels and rammed in to a Government bus coming from the opposition direction. The accident left two people including the driver of the car dead on the spot while the infant succumbed to the injuries while he was being taken to Manipal hospital for further treatment. Four other people who were travelling on the car sustained injuries. The deceased have been identified as car driver Prashna, Sasikala and her three year old infant Shashwat. The injured have been identified as  Nandni, Soumya, Shashank, and Sachin all belonging from Mangaluru. Kumta police have registered a case and further investigations are underway.
