Kumta: Tahsildar seizes tipper lorry carrying illegal sand

Kumta 10 April 2018: In a major crack down on illegal sand mining, a tipper carrying illegal sand was seized at Divagi of Kumta taluk here on Sunday, by a team led by Kumta Tahsildar V S Banaghar.

Working on a credible information, a team led by Tashildar V S Banaghar raided the spot and seized the tipper and also the sand being filled in the tipper without any licence or any legal documents.

A case of illegal sand mining with relevant acts and sections has been filed at Kumta Police station.
