Kumta: Man dies after drowning while swimming with his friends

Kumta 04 June 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A 33-year-old man reportedly drowned into the river Aganashini while he was swimming with his friends at Kumta here on Saturday 02 June.
The deceased has been identified as Anthony Fernandes, a resident of Mirjan.
Anthony, after having his lunch in the afternoon went to Aganashini river along with five of his friends, where after diving into the water he started drowning and couldn't hold his balance into the water and died on the spot.
Police along with locals, brought the body back to the shore and shifted the body to Kumta Taluka Hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered at Kumta Police Station.
