Kumta: KSRTC Bus hits bike, one critical

Kumta 28 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) One person sustained severe injuries when the bike he was travelling in, collided with a KSRTC bus near the bus stop of Kumta here on Saturday 28^th April.

The victim has been identified as Mohammed Tanvir Abubakkar of Kasarkod near Honnavar while Mahadev Aachari is the accused KSRTC driver.

When the KSRTC bus was on its way to Kumta’s new bus stand from the depot, it took a turn near the bus stand with out any hand signal or turning on the indicators as a result, Tanvir who was on its way to Honnavar from Kumta crashed into the bus sustaining critical injuries.

Mohammed was soon rushed to the nearest hospital and later he was shifted to Manipal for further treatment.

A case has been registered at Kumta police station.
