Kumta: Fisherman dies after slipping into waters while fishing

Kumta 27 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) In a reported incident of death due to drowning, a local fisherman died when he slipped into the lakes while fishing here at Ambarakuli lake of Kumta on Saturday 26 May.
The deceased has been identified as Nagappa Harikantra (38), a resident of Kumta.
According to the sources, Nagappa, on Saturday morning around 8:30 am left for fishing on his boat at Ambarakuli lake, and slipped into the water while reportedly throwing his fishing net into the waters.
The body was soon recovered by the locals and was shifted to Kumta government hospital for the post mortem.
A case has been registered at Kumta police station.
