Kumta: Father assaults own son with sword due to property dispute

Kumta 07 November 2018:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) In an incident reported at Yettinabail village of Kumta on Friday a father assaulted his own son in a matter pertaining to a property dispute between the two leading to several injuries to the son. The injured son has been identified as Shivanand Desh Bhandari while the accused father has been identified as Harihara Desh Bhandari. As per sources, clash between both father and son over property took an ugly turn when the father Harihara after losing his temper allegedly assaulted his own son with a sword. The locals witnessing the incident shifted him to Taluka hospital of Kumta, where he is being treated for injuries on head, hands and chest. Kumta police however detained the accused father after registering a case at Kumta police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
