Kumta: Depressed over preparations for exams, 17 year old student commits suicide

Kumta 15 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A 17-year-old student allegedly depressed over some personal reasons committed suicide by hanging himself at his home near Vivekanagar of Kumta here in the early morning of Friday December 14. The deceased has been identified as Vinayak Vittal Paiganakar (17), resident of Kumta. According to the reports, Vinayak's father informed police that Vinayak had failed PUC 1 Commerce examination and was preparing for re-examination. Vinayak's father also told police that the 17 year old was depressed as he was unable to coup with the studies and suspected that, it is the reason he committed suicide on Friday morning by hanging himself in a locked room. A case has been registered at Kumta police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
