Kumta court sentences man for 3 year imprisonment for stealing donation box at Gokarna temple

Kumta 19 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Kumta court sentenced a man for 3 years imprisonment and a penalty of Rs.2,000 for stealing the donation box at Gokarna’s Mahabaleshwara temple in the year 2012, here on Tuesday. The convict K. Manikanta, a resident of Mandya on 24-08-2012 had robbed the donation box at Gokarna temple. Temple administrator G.K. Hegde had registered a complaint in this regard, followed by Manikanta's arrest in to the case. police sources added, Manikanta was already in prison for four years for being convict for some other case. However, on Tuesday the Kumta court after analyzing all the proceedings, sentenced Manikanta for 3 years imprisionment and a penalty of Rs.3,000/- (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
