Bengaluru 23 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) JD(s) state president HD Kumaraswamy sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka, along with G Parameshwara who sworn in as his deputy on 23 May at Karnataka Vidhan Soudha here in Bengaluru. Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala administered the oath to both the new office bearers of the state. Several national leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, Tejasvi Yadav and others attended the event in Bengaluru. The cabinet of the coalition government between Congress-JD(s) is yet to be formed and once formed the ministers will take oath of their respective ministries. Meanwhile, BS Yediyurappa who himself had claimed stakes at forming government and was sworn in as the CM of the state of May 17 only to resign on May 19 following failure to prove majority in assembly said, "Just wait for cabinet expansion.
