Konkan Railways staff falls under moving train, dies

Karwar: A Konkan Railway employee died after coming under the Bengaluru-Karwar express train after losing his balance while climbing the train here at Shirawada Railway  Station. The deceased has been identified as Surya Shekhar Karanth (48) from Bargi, Kumta. He was working as a tank man in the Konkan Railways. The accident occurred while he was boarding the Bengaluru- Karwar express train back to Kumta after work. His co-workers immediately rushed him to Karwar district Hospital where he was declared dead there. A case has been registered at Karwar rural police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
