Kobatte Salahuddin: An unsung hero
08:56AM Sun 15 Nov, 2015

(By Aftab Kola) - Kobatte Salahuddin, who passed away this morning, lived a simple life devoid of any ostentation. Having known him for over three decades and living in the same locality (Sultan Street), I was a great admirer of his qualities. He always believed that people should conduct themselves with integrity, which he practised all his life. He was one of the experts in drafting organisation bye-laws.
He was the ex-president and ex - general secretary of BMJD. He had always devoted most of his time for the development of the community. He was Islamia Anglo Urdu High School's first VIQAR-E-ISLAMIA.
He contributed in his own way to the development of Anjuman; Tanzeem; BMJ, Dubai and other organisations and played an instrumental role in the establishment of BMKC (Rabita Society). His articles regularly appeared in Naqshe Nawayath. Integrity, commitment and simplicity ranked high among Salahuddin's traits.
A very principled man who never aspired for any position or publicity. May his tribe increase. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdous. Ameen.
A condolence meeting is going to be held tomorrow 16th November after Isha prayers at BMJD office in Dubai where members will shed light on his selfless service for the community.
