Karwar: Waqf board demands separate office

Bhatkallys News Bureau Karwar 24 Oct 2017: Uttara Kannada District Waqf board on Monday demanded a new office for the board in a meeting organized at Karwar. Babu Shaikh while addressing the meeting said the board has already submitted a memorandum to the district In-charge minister to shift the board’s office to Sirsi but  no action has been taken to fulfill their demand yet. Social worker Akram Khan blamed Deputy Commissioner (DC) for the inconvenience faced by people without waqf board office, and said despite having orders from the central government, DC has shown no interest to sanction the office for the board. Gen. Secy. of Sunni Association Imtiaz Bukhari, District waqf board vice president Shaikh Ali, Nazir Shaikh, and other were present during the meeting.
