Karwar: Two killed on the spot as bike rams into parked truck

Bhatkallys News Bureau Karwar 12 April 2018: Two motorcycle borne youths died on the spot after their vehicle crashed into a parked Truck on NH-66 at Majali village of Karwar Taluka around 8:00 pm on Wednesday April 11. The deceased have been identified as Chethan GS(21) a engineering student from Bhadravati, while the pillion rider Shivraj Uttangi (20) a B.com student from Shirawad. Sources say that the two youths on their bike were heading towards Karwar from Goa when their motorcycle crashed into the truck belonging to Mohammed Jaffer Sheikh (58) who had parked his truck near the National Highway-66 without switching on the parking lights or any indicators. Due to critical injuries both the youngsters died on the spot and their bodies were shifted to mortuary at District Government Hospital of Karwar for post Mortem. A case has been registered at Chittakul Police station.
