Karwar student write to PM asking him to implement minimum educational qualification for contesting elections

Karwar 12 March 2018: A Commerce student hailing from Siddapur wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him for a mandate over minimum education qualification to contest in election of the country.
Mohammed Sakeeb who is currently studying in B.com 4th Sem at Government First Grade College at Sagar questioned in his letter asking that “ why is there no minimum education requirement to contest election?” and stressed in the letter saying “ As an educated Youth of the country, I want to see change in our election system which includes minimum education criteria.”
Sakeeb in his letter mentioned about “Mann ki Baat” where PM Modi had once said “It’s time for country to transform from a positive India to Progressive India”, and said that this could only happen by adopting many changes in the country including the minimum education qualification to contest in election.
