Karwar: PUC Student committs suicide one day before exams

Karwar 1 March 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A PUC II student on Thursday committed suicide by hanging herself at her home, allegedly depressed over non-preparation for the board exams. The incident was reported from Mallapur village of Karwar. The deceased has been identified as Lakshmi Netravati Gorkar (18), a resident of Mallapur village. According to the sources, Lakshmi on Thursday hanged herself in the kitchen when her parents left home for the daily wage job. It has been alleged that due to exam pressure and by looking at the financial condition of her family she took this extreme step. The incident has led the parents of the deceased into a state of shock and distress. A case has been registered at Mallapur police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
