Karwar police arrests one while smuggling Goan liquor worth Rs.1 lac to Honnavar

Karwar 8 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Karwar police on Friday arrested a man while allegedly trying to smuggle the Goan liquor worth Rs. 1 Lac here at Binagapatana of Karwar. The detained has been identified as Vinay Shanta Nagekar(37), a resident of Bhada of Karwar. According to the sources, the accused on Friday morning around 6:30 am was arrested while illegally transporting Goan liquor from Goa to Honnavar taluk. However, working on a Tip-off a team lead by Inspector Sharan Gowda swung into action and seized the vehicle and liquor in the vehicle.
