Karwar: Mobile Vans to keep Air pollution in check

Bhatkallys News Service Karwar 09 February 2017: District Deputy Commissioner (DC) today inaugurated a new set of vehicles here which will be deployed in the town to check the Air Pollution emitted by the public vehicles. The mobile vehicle jointly run by RTO and state air pollution check department will patrol the roads and will conduct emission tests of the vehicles. The vans are expected to run on trial base first wherein it will create awareness among the drivers about the air pollution and will at later stage impose fines to the violators of the law of air pollution. During the inauguration event a few state government’s vehicles and DC’s official car was checked for demonstrations.
