Karwar 13 february 2018:  Members of the provident fund and epf pensioners' welfare development association submitted an memorandum to the Chief Minister through District Administration, demanding increase in the widow pension from Rs. 500 to Rs. 2,500.

The widows in the Uttara Kannada district have been receiving a pension of rs.500/- on a monthly basis from 2012.
