Karwar: Goan Liquor worth 75000 seized by excise while being transported to Karwar

Karwar 19 Feb 2018: The excise officials on Saturday seized Goan liquor which was smuggled illegally in the car at Bithcol cross here in Karwar.
The accused who was illegally transporting the alcohol from Goa to Karwar escaped from the spot after noticing the checking by the excise staff at Baithcol highway.
Later, the excise staff checked the car and seized Goan liquor worth Rs. 75000/- and also seized the car that was used for smuggling and registered the case.
