Karnataka Swabhimani Kranti Sangha, Bhatkal demands immediate initiation of Bhatkal Bus Stand's reconstruction

Bhatkal 23 November 2019: Members of Karnataka Swabhimani Kranti Sangha, Bhatkal unit submitted a memorandum to Karnataka Chief Minister through KSRTC depot manager of Bhatkal here at Bhatkal Bus stand on Saturday, 23 November. The memorandum addressing Chief Minister stated, "The reconstruction of Bus Stand in Bhatkal which collapsed over two years from now is yet to begin. Passengers are made to wait out in the open sun without proper seating arrangements." The memorandum also stated that Murdeshwar, a tourist hotspot falls in Bhatkal Taluk limits, and inadequate services at Bhatkal bus stand with no drinking water facilities, vehicle parking issues, lighting problems at night, and without proper board labeling as Bhatkal bus stand has also resulted in bad impression on the tourists. The memorandum urged the Chief Minister to look into the matter and initiate the work at the earliest. Members of Karnataka Swabhimani Kranti Sangha Kumar Naik, Syed Ali Mallik, Ashok Naik, Ramachandra Gond, Anthony Louis and others were present while submitting the memorandum.
