Karnataka state records 60.47 pass percent in PUC II exam

8 May, 2014 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bengaluru: The Karnataka Board of Secondary Education (KSEEB) has released results for the second Pre University Certificate (PUC ) commonly known as Class 12th Board examination 2014. The exams were held between March 12 and March 27. Out of the regular candidates that appeared for the exams, 68.75 per cent have cleared the exam while 31.21 per cent students achieved success in their retake. External candidates that appeared for the exam achieved a dismal pass percentage of 29.79. Overall, 60.47 percent of students have passed the exam which has been termed as the best in the last years. This year, unaided college and students in rural areas have fared better. Dakshina Kannada district has stood first with 86.4 per cent students clearing the exams. Neighbouring Udupi district has come second with 85.57%. Goorg district has secured third position with 75.87 per cent students clearing the exam. - ARF
