Karnataka second PUC results on 30 April; Students to get grace marks in English and Physics

Bhatkal 28 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka will announce 2nd Pre-University results on April 30 Monday karresults.nic.in and pue.kar.nic.in.
A total of 6.90 lakh students appeared for the PUC examination including 3,37,860 females and 3,52,292 male students, the exams were conducted between March 1 to March 17 across the state.
According to the reports 23,980 examiners have been appointed to check the examination papers.
Due to the Karnataka assembly elections the examinations were pre-poned to March which usually are conducted in April, similarly the results of PU examination were announced on May 11 whereas this year it will be announced in April.
Students can also get their results through SMS and E-mail by signing up at examresults.net/karnataka.
Previous year Udupi district topped the exmination among all the districts with 90.01 per cent followed by Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu districts, while Bidar district stood last with 42.05%.
Grace marks
Director of Department of Pre-University Education, C Shikha, confirmed that the students will get two grace marks in English subject for the compulsary question, “For the physics paper, students will be given one grace mark. All those candidates who have attempted the optional questions, will get additional five marks,” she said according to a report in The Hindu.
SSLC Results
Meanwhile, the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) results are expected to be announced on 07 May Monday.
