Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Kranthi Sene demands arrest of Somashekhara Reddy for provocative remarks

Bengaluru: Members and activists of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Kranthi Sene on Thursday staged protest and demanded arrest of BJP MLA Somashekhara Reddy, for his provocative remarks and statements. The protesters gathered near Gandhi’s statue near Maurya circle in the city and demanded that the BJP MLA should be arrested.
The protesters claimed that Reddy’s remark was inciting communal hatred among the people of Muslim and Hindu communities and that his remarks were not in accordance with the post he holds of being an elected representative in the state assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, the General Secretary of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Kranthi Sene, Mohammed Saifullah asserted that Reddy tried to incite hate with his provocative remarks during an event and spoke against the democratic values of the country. Saifullah also called on the BJP leadership to initiate action against the party’s MLA.
He also demanded that the BJP leadership should immediate sack Reddy from the party and that he should be disqualified as the MLA of the party.
