Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrated with fervors in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: To mark the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava on November 1, students of various schools in Bhatkal presented skits and cultural programs depicting the importance and significance of Kannada culture and traditions, here at the Taluka Stadium in Bhatkal.

The students of various schools took out a rally from the campus of New English School and marched towards the Taluka Stadium.
Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Mamata Devi hoisted the national flag to mark the beginning of the celebration and spoke about the importance of preserving the Kannada language and culture.
Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik also shared similar views and spoke about preserving Kannada and local history and culture.
Several activists, authors were also felicitated during the event for their contributions in the field of Kannada literature and culture.
Bhatkal Tahsildar Ravichandran, TMC Chief Officer Radhika, Jali Patan Panchayath Chief Officer Ramchandra, Panchayath Executive Officer Prabhakar, and others were present during the event.
Bhatkal BEO Devidas Moger presented the vote of thanks marking the conclusion of the event.
