Karnataka lecturer resigns for being asked to remove Hijab by college

Tumkuru: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A lecturer at a private college in Tumkuru of Karnataka has resigned from her job after she was allegedly asked to remove her Hijab in the college amidst the Hijab row in the state. The lecturer identified as Chandini was working in the Department of English in Tumkuru’s Jain PU College. She submitted her resignation on February 16 to the College Principal adding that she condemns the undemocratic act of the college. She also added that the Right to Religion was a constitutional right and that nobody could deny it.
