Karnataka State Government while assuring the protesting Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) workers of full filing their demands has also warned them of cutting their incentives if they don’t report back to work at the earliest.
The government in a notice issued on January 4 has asked all the ASHA workers to report back to the duty and present their reports of duty to the Deputy Commissioner of the respective District failing which their monthly incentives will be cut down.
The notice has also directed the doctors and officials of primary healthcare centres to ask ASHA workers to work regularly and to reassure them that their demands will be met “soon”.
ASHA workers who are not reporting to work owing to the pending dues from the government from last 15 months have not considered the warning of the government and continued to remain absent from the work even on Monday.
Their demands include clearing of all the pending dues of 15 months in a go before they report back to the work.
