BENGALURU: It was a day of anxiety, frustration and disappointment for CET candidates who attempted the online trial option entry, as the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) website crashed on Wednesday. Mahesh M, manager of a private company who took the day off work to help his anxious daughter, who has a 20,000-odd ranking in KEA's CET, had to waste the whole day in front of the computer, trying to log on to the website to select seats for professional courses.   Mahesh was among the many parents who devoted the day to helping their children complete the process. Their many attempts went in vain and the only message they got was "error" or "the requested URL could not be retrieved".   Shivanagouda Patil and his daughter Kavya, a CET candidate, said they tried to register on the website through the day. "The website opened for just 30 seconds, and before we could do anything, it crashed," they rued. KEA announced that CET candidates can log on for option entry from June 17 to 22 every day, between 10am and 4pm.   Chandrashekar V, a parent, said: "The website was slow throughout the day. KEA is not concerned about students' future, how can they provide such bad service?"   "I couldn't even key in the CET registration number on the website; it caused a lot of tension," a student said. -TOI
