Karkala: Lawyer's car with 'Chowkidar Sher Hai' sticker seized

Karkala: Election officers today seized a lawyer's car with a sticker 'Chowkidar Sher Hai' in Karkala on Friday. Meanwhile, Karkala police have registered a case against the lawyer for not allowing to perform the duties. While checking vehicles at Karkala Anantashayan, Lawyer Vipul Tej's car approached the check post. There was a big sticker pasted on the rear side of the car with "Chowkidar Sher Hai' slogan. Immediately, the officers instructed Vipul Tej to remove the sticker. When Vipul Tej refused to remove the sticker and started arguing with the election officers, the authorities seized the vehicle and handed over it to the Karkala police. The Karkala police have registered a case against Vipul Tej for pasting the sticker without any permission and for not allowing the authorities to perform their duties. Source: Vartha Bharathi
