Kargil Vijay Divas celebrated in Bhatkal

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 26 July 2017: Students of several colleges took out a rally to mark Kargil Vijay Divas. Kargil Divas is celebrated as a mark of respect to the soldiers who fought the Kargil war in 1999 with Pakistan which came to an end on 26 July 1999. Students of Shri Gur Sudhindra College, Government first grade college, Siddharta college,took out a rally from Shamsuddin circle tioll Maki Venkat raman temple, students shouted slogans favouring the soldiers and the country throughout the rally. Retd. Soldiers were also felicitated in an event held at Asarkeri which was attended by Lakshman Pai, CPI Suresh Nayak, Prakash Malpe, Panduranga Naik, Dhanya Kumar and others.
