Kannada Sahitya Sammelan held in Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 16 March 2011: Kannada Sahitya Parishad yesterday organized Bhatkal taluk Kannada Sahitya Sammelan here at New English School. The program was presided over by Mr P. R. Naik.
Speaking on this occasion Mr P. R. Naik said, 'People should aware of persons who use religion to create divide between communities.' He also advised teachers to utilize their full potential in nurturing the future of students. Bhatkal MLA Mr J D Naik while interacting with the audience said, 'Today English is the major threat to Kannada language. So we should avoid the use of English in our daytoday life'. Apart from this, several other speakers including Kannada author and poet Mr Vishnu Naik, Anjuman Degree College Principal Dr Syed Zameerullah Sharief, Mr Manoj Patil have also addressed the gathering. Later several Kannada books were released. The program was concluded with the thanks giving speech of Mr Ganapathi Shirur, Head Master, New English School, Bhatkal.
On this occasion Assistant Commissioner Dr Anuradha, Bhatkal DySP Mr M Narayan, MLA Mr J D Naik, BEO Mr Devidas Moger, TMC President Mr Inayatullah Shabandri, Anjuman Degree College Principal Dr Syed Zameerullah Sharief, Anjuman Secretary Mr Syed Abdul Azeem S M and several others were present.
