'Kambala', Buffalo race held in Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 05 Dec 2011: "Kambala", the Buffalo race was organized here in Kuntuwani village near Bhatkal by Somayya Gonda on Sunday, December 04. It may be interesting to note that, Somayya Gonda is organizing this Buffalo race from the last 38 years.

Bhatkal MLA, Mr J.D.Naik inaugurated the event. Bhatkal Municipality President, Mr Inayathullah Shabandari was present as a chief guest at the inaugural function. Addressing the function Shabandari appreciated the efforts of Somayya Gonda for his unique achievement. He also offered all possible help for the villagers.

Surendra Degree College Principal, Mr Virendar Shanbhag, Mr Ashok Naik, Mr Iqbal Barmavar and ACF officer Udaya Kumar among the others were present on the stage.

Winners of the competitions were awarded at the function.
