Job Opportunity for E-commerce Distribution Controller at Emirates

• Gather and analyze business requirements for the optimization of online booking and revenue generation via www.emirates.com, its mobile website and the OTA channel. Assist in gathering information from all Commercial departments about E-commerce (emirates.com and OTA) development needs; objectives; functions; features and input and output requirements.
• Provides analytical assistance in identifying; evaluating business processes and revenue generating opportunities.
• Support the commercialization of EK Commercial Internet Booking Engine with skywards to provide our most valued customers an opportunity for a large number of value-added services; such as online redemption; miles plus cash payment; etc.
• Co-ordinate management reporting on E-commerce (emirates.com and OTA) sales and assist in the resolve of business process issues in customer feedback.
• Regularly research developments on competitor airline sites and OTA sites; identify valuable features and analyse new possibilities in order to enhance the booking engine to match market needs. Also carry out regular comparisons between benchmarked world-wide web-sites and emirates web-sites in order to highlight areas where Emirates does not have competitive conditions.
• Administrate the customisation and enhancement of the web engine to meet the requirements of providing value added services to the customer using special offers tailored to the needs of each individual online market.

• Manage E-commerce sales channels and strategies for emirates.com and OTAs in the North African markets.

• Bachelor's degree in either business or a E-commerce related subject.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in an airline/OTA or other E-commerce environment is mandatory.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in Email / Database marketing; Search marketing; Affiliate marketing and relevant digital distribution mechanics is essential.
• Knowledge of E-commerce distribution practices and regulatory environment as they pertain to Internet is essential.
• Familiarity with digital best practices in web implementation is a must.
• Experience in improving website conversion; including a background using and managing advanced interactive technologies will be an advantage.
• Proficient in all Office automation tools like MS Word; MS Excel; MS Access; MS PowerPoint; MS Project; etc.
• French Language skills would be an advantage. Online experience from the North African countries would be an advantage.
