Jet Airways starts daily Mangaluru-Sharjah flight

MANGALURU: Jet Airways has started a new daily service between Mangaluru and Sharjah from Sunday. Addition of this new service will bolster Jet Airways offering to the Gulf market, further strengthening the airline's growing network and significantly enhance connectivity for guests. With the addition of Sharjah, Jet Airways will connect Mangaluru with three cities in Gulf. Jet Airways currently operates daily flights from Mangaluru to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Additionally, with a large number of Indians travelling from Mangaluru to Gulf, Jet Airways has expanded connectivity options from various cities across India to Gulf. Likewise, inbound guests from Sharjah would be able to enjoy domestic connections from Mangaluru. Jet Airways 9W 504 will depart Mangaluru at 9.30am and arrive in Sharjah at 11.45am local time. Jet Airways 9W 503 will depart from Sharjah at 12.45pm local time) and arrive into Mangaluru at 5.55pm.

The launch of additional daily services strengthens Jet Airways' already extensive network of routes serving the region and cements its place as the largest operator connecting India and the Gulf. The airline will deploy Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft on this route, where premier and economy guests may enjoy airline's in-flight service, in-flight entertainment programme and the airline's concept of hospitality.
N Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte University, Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, B Ramanath Rai, and U T Khader, ministers, J T Radhakrishna, airport director, MIA and U Harish Shenoy, GM, South India, Jet Airways (I) Ltd were present at the airport to mark the launch of the inaugural flight. Hidayathulla Abbas, chairman, Hidayath Group, UAE, was the first guest flying on premier class to Sharjah.
Jet Airways operates 11 daily direct flights each from India to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
