JD Naik, Govinda Naik, and 2 independent candidates file nomination

15th April 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal:  Today morning, four candidates filed their nomination papers at the Assistant Commissioner's office. These include one from Congress Party, one from BJP, and two independent candidates. Yesterday too, one candidate submitted his nomination paper. BJP candidate Mr. Govinda Naik took a procession from Marikatta temple and ended at the Urban Bank. Thereafter only five persons entered the Assistant Commissioner’s office and submitted the Nomination Papers. On this occasion, MP Anant Kumar, Bhatkal BJP leader Dinesh Naik and other persons were present.  The Congress Party's candidate, the present MLA Mr. J D Naik went with four persons from his advertising office to A.C. Office and filed his nomination. Shambu Goda, Rama Moger and other persons were present with him. Apart from them, Mr. Prakash Paskal Pinto (Manki ) and Mr. Rajesh M. Naik (Honnavar)  submitted their nomination as independent candidates. It should be kept in mind, that because of strict regulations imposed by Election Commission, not more than five persons will be allowed with the candidate inside the AC's office during filing of nomination.
