JCI Bhatkal mark International Women's day with walkathon; Felicitates Dr. Savita Kamat and Sister Tharesa Serra

Bhatkal 8 March 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) To mark the occasion of International Women’s day, JCI Bhatkal city on Friday marched a ‘Walkathon’ along with the members of JCI, Shiroor here at Shri Guru Sudhindra College Campus of Bhatkal. JCI Bhatkal City along with the B. Ed students of Jnaaneshwari College organised a Walkathon from Shri Guru Sudhindra College(SGS) to Shamsuddin circle and later came back to SGS college ground. After Walkathon, a program was organised by the JCI members at the Auditorium of Shree Jnaaneshwari college, where they felicitated Dr.Savitha Kamat, Administrator of Government Hospital Bhatkal and Sister Tharesa Serra, Principal of Anand Ashram PU college, Bhatkal.   The program was inaugurated by JCI Sen Abdul Jabbar Saheb and was presided by JCI Bhatkal city President Ramesh Kharvi. JCI Bhatkal city vice President Abdul Jabbar addressed the event and spoke about the importance of ‘Run4nine’ moment, an awareness campaign jointly organised by JCI India and Nine Foundation to create awareness among people about usage of Sanitary napkins. T-shirts and caps were distributed among the participants of Walkathon during the occasion. On this occasion JC Panduranga Naik, JC Nagaraj Shet, Jcrt Roopa Ramesh Kharvi, Shridhar Naik, Sister Molly D’cunha and others were present. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
